New Business Sales Executive (Odoo ERP)

We are seeking a dynamic and driven New Business Sales Executive to join our team, focusing on selling Odoo ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept at generating their own pipeline through proactive prospecting efforts, including cold calls, email outreach, and leveraging Sales Navigator. Reporting to the Managing Director initially, the Sales Executive will take ownership of the entire sales process from initial contact to close, including negotiating commercial terms and client expectation management.

Primary Responsibilities


    Prospecting and Lead Generation:

    • Proactively identify and engage with potential clients through various channels, including cold calls, email campaigns, and Sales Navigator.

    Sales Process Management:

    • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closure.
    • Effectively manage sales opportunities in CRM software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions.

    Needs Assessment and Solution Proposition:

    • Conduct in-depth consultations with prospects to understand their business operations, challenges, and goals in conjunction with the Functional Consulting team.
    • Employ active listening techniques to uncover underlying pain points and areas of inefficiency within their current processes.
    • Utilise probing questions to delve deeper into prospect pain points, gaining a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs.
    • Collaborate with prospects to envision ideal outcomes and identify areas where Odoo ERP solutions can provide tangible value.
    • Craft customised solution propositions that address specific pain points and present compelling business cases for adopting Odoo ERP.
    • Leverage industry knowledge and best practices to offer innovative solutions that not only solve immediate challenges but also support long-term business growth objectives.
    • Continuously refine solution proposals based on prospect feedback and evolving business requirements, ensuring alignment between client needs and proposed solutions.

    Relationship Building:

    • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects, positioning oneself as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.

    Negotiation and Closing:

    • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with prospects to secure profitable deals.
    • Close sales opportunities in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including account management and functional consultants, to ensure seamless handover of clients post-sale.

    Continuous Learning:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product enhancements to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Demonstrate learning by successfully progressing through the Smart IT Odoo Academy.

    The New Business Sales Executive will collaborate closely with our functional consulting team to ensure alignment between sales efforts and client requirements. Working hand in hand with consultants, the Sales Executive will leverage their expertise to translate client needs into comprehensive solution propositions. Furthermore, the Sales Executive will maintain accurate records of all interactions and sales activities in our CRM system, providing visibility into the sales pipeline for effective decision-making. Timely and accurate reporting of pipeline status will be paramount, enabling proactive adjustments to sales strategies and ensuring consistent progress towards revenue targets. This collaborative approach fosters a dynamic environment where cross-functional teams work together seamlessly to deliver exceptional value to our clients and drive business growth.

Required Skills and Experiences


    Sales Experience:

    • Proven track record of success in new business sales, preferably in the software industry.

    Prospecting Skills:

    • Strong prospecting skills with the ability to generate leads through cold calls, email outreach, and social selling platforms.

    Solution Selling:

    • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments and propose tailored solutions that address client pain points.

    Negotiation Skills:

    • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and drive revenue growth.

    Communication Skills:

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

    Team Player:

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

    Work Environment:

    This is a full-time position, with travel as required.

Educational Background  


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
    • Drive to succeed and keep going is more important than a formal education, but you will need to learn ERP and sales methodology to become more successful in the long term.

Desirable requirements / Good to have  


    • An awareness of IT technologies & and methodologies preferably knowledge of ERP systems would also be advantageous.
